Marshall Ernst began raising Hereford beef cattle under the guidance of his uncle, John Craig of Wisconsin, when he was a child. The love and passion for the beef industry has carried on throughout all aspects of Marshall’s life. Marshall has played a role in the Hereford breed in many facets; most recently as a member of the National Board of Director’s for the American Hereford Association as well as the President of the board for Certified Hereford Beef.

When Marshall and Barbara began the Ernst family, they passed the love of Herefords on to their children as well and have been actively involved in livestock events nationally since 1964 with each of their four children and now with two son-in-laws as well. Ernst Herefords is truly a family affair!
